We shall make satan the companion of whoever ignores the remembrance of the Beneficent God. 36 And verily they hinder them from the way, whilst they deem that they are rightly guided. 37 Until when he cometh unto Us, he will say. Ah! would that there had been between me and thee, the distance of the east and the west an evil companion 38 And it will profit you not today, because ye have done wrong, that ye are in the torment sharers. 39 Can you [Prophet] make the deaf hear? Or guide either the blind or those who are in manifest error? 40 But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them; 41 or make you see the end that We had promised them, for We have full power over them. 42 So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. 43 It is a (source) of greatness for you and your people. You will surely be questioned about it. 44 Ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We have ever made gods, other than the Merciful, to be worshipped. 45
