The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin! These are the verses of the Quran and the Book that makes (things) clear 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 who are steadfast in prayer, who pay the religious tax, and who have strong faith in the life hereafter. 3 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. 4 They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. 5 You have received the Koran from the Wise, the Knower. 6 (Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves. 7 But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds. 8 "O Musa (Moses)! Verily! It is I, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 But when Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) came to them, clear to see, they said: "This is a manifest magic." 13 They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! 14
