The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated over it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
