The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
