Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
A. L. M. 1 The sending down of the Book in which there is no doubt that is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. 3 Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He mounted the throne (of authority); you have not besides Him any guardian or any intercessor, will you not then mind? 4 He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count. 5 Such is (He) the knower of the unknown and the known, the mighty and the merciful, 6 Who made good everything that He has created, and He began the creation of man from dust. 7 then He fashioned his progeny of an extraction of mean water, 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be recreated anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! 10 ۞ Say: 'Death's angel, who has been charged with you, shall gather you, then to your Lord you shall be returned.' 11
