The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to the stinters who, 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure, 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Do they not realize that they will be resurrected 4 On a Great Day, 5 A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 A book inscribed. 9 Woe, then, to those that give the lie, 10 who cry lies to the Day of Doom; 11 Yet none gives the lie to it except the transgressor immersed in sin; 12 who, when Our verses are recited to him, says: “Mere tales of olden times!” 13 Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. 14 No indeed! On that Day they will be screened off from seeing their Lord, 15 Then, verily they will indeed enter and taste the burning flame of Hell. 16 It will then be said, “This is what you used to deny.” 17 No indeed! Verily, the deeds of the virtuous shall be in the record of the exalted ones. 18 And what could make thee conceive what that mode most lofty will be? 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 Witnessed by those who are honoured. 21 Verily the virtuous shall be in Delight, 22 On couches face to face. 23 You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. 24 They are made to quaff of a pure drink that is sealed (to others). 25 The seal thereof will be Musk: And for this let those aspire, who have aspirations: 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 The sinners indeed laughed at believers 29 when them passed them by winking at one another, 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 and when they saw the believers, they said: “Lo! These are the erring ones”; 32 Yet they were not sent as watchers over them. 33 So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers, 34 Reclining on couches, looking on. 35 Have the unbelievers been duly rewarded for their deeds? 36
