Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
