The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
