And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, and he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)? 23 The unbelieving assembly of his nation said: 'This is but a human like you, who desires to gain superiority over you. Had Allah willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of this among our ancient forefathers. 24 He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while. 25 [Noah] said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me." 26 So We sent him the divine revelation that, “Make the ship in front of Our sight, and by Our command – then when Our command comes and the oven overflows, embark in it two of every couple, and from your household except those upon whom the Word has been decreed; and do not speak to Me in respect of these unjust people; they will surely be drowned.” 27 When all of you settle in the Ark, say, "Only God Who has saved us from the unjust people deserves all praise". 28 and say, 'My Lord, let me land with Your blessing in a blessed landing place. You alone can provide the best landings.'" 29 Indeed in that are signs, and indeed, We are ever testing [Our servants]. 30 Then, after them, We brought forth another generation; 31 And We sent to them a messenger from among themselves, (saying), "Worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?" 32
