We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
