Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
