Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
