The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And the promised day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 when they were seated over it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
God the Almighty always says the truth.
