The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah's judgement has (all but) come; do not, then, call for its speedy advent. Holy is He, and far above their associating others with Him in His Divinity. 1 He sends down the angels with inspiration of His Command to whom of His slaves He pleases (saying): "Warn mankind that La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so fear Me (by abstaining from sins and evil deeds). 2 He created the heavens and the earth with truth. Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him)! 3 He created man from a small seed and lo! he is an open contender. 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 And ye have a sense of pride and beauty in them as ye drive them home in the evening, and as ye lead them forth to pasture in the morning. 6 They carry your loads to a land which you could not otherwise reach except by painful toil to oneself. Your Lord is the Clement, the Most Merciful. 7 And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
