Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth discharges its burdens 2 the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?" 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
