The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
