Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders. 16 And We have kept it guarded from every outcast devil. 17 Except him (devil) that gains hearing by stealing, he is pursued by a clear flaming fire. 18 We have spread out the earth, and set upon it firm mountains and caused everything to grow in due proportion. 19 We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 Indeed your Lord will gather them all together. Surely He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. 25
