The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
