۞ Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." 53 Turn to your Lord and surrender yourselves to Him before the punishment overtakes you, for then you will not be helped. 54 Follow the best of what has been revealed to you by your Lord before the punishment overtakes you suddenly and you are caught unawares, 55 Lest a soul should say, "Oh [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to Allah and that I was among the mockers." 56 Or before the soul says, "Had God guided me, I could have been a pious man". 57 Or, he may say as he sees the punishment, "Would that I had a second chance, so that I could be among the doers of good." 58 It will be said to him, “Surely yes, why not?* My signs did come to you, so you denied them and you were haughty and you were a disbeliever.” (They will be mocked at.) 59 And upon the Day of Resurrection thou shalt see those who lied against God, their faces blackened; is there not in Gehenna a lodging for those that are proud? 60 And Allah will save those who feared Him by their attainment; no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve. 61 God is the Creator and Guardian of all things. 62 His are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; and (as for) those who disbelieve in the communications of Allah, these it is that are the losers. 63
