Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
