And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
