The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night enshrouding 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 and rejects what is right, 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 Who belieth and turneth away. 16 For, distant from it shall remain he who is truly conscious of God: 17 And gives of his wealth that he may grow in virtue, 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
