۞ It is God who subjugated the ocean for you so that ships may ply through it by His command, and you may seek His bounty, and may haply be grateful. 12 And He hath subjected for your sake whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, the whole from Himself. Verily herein are signs unto a people who ponder. 13 Say to those who believe (that) they forgive those who do not fear the days of Allah that He may reward a people for what they earn. 14 Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned. 15 And indeed We gave the Descendants of Israel the Book, and the rule, and the Prophethood, and gave good things for sustenance and gave them superiority over all others of their time. 16 And gave them a clear exposition of Our laws. And they did not differ until after knowledge came to them, through mutual jealousies. Verily your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgement in what they differed about. 17 Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. 18 They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah: it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous. 19 This Book is an enlightenment unto mankind and a guidance, and a mercy unto a People who are convinced. 20 Do those who seek evil think that We shall make them equal in life and death to those who believe and do good? How bad is the judgement that they make! 21
