'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave thou them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 And had the Truth followed their desires, then indeed the heavens and the earth and all those who are in them would be destroyed; in fact We brought to them a thing in which lay their repute, so they are turned away from their own repute. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
