The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
