And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 These men do say, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
