The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
