Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
