Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. 61 And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. 62 (Among) the servants of the Beneficent God are those who walk gently on the earth and when addressed by the ignorant ones, their only response is, "Peace be with you." 63 who pass their nights in prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord: 64 Those who say, "Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,- 65 evil it is as a lodging-place and an abode'; 66 Who are neither prodigal nor miserly in their spending but follow a middle path; 67 Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 And whosoever repenteth and doeth good, he verily repenteth toward Allah with true repentance - 71 And those who witness not falsehood, and when they pass by some vanity pass by with dignity. 72 who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, fall not down thereat deaf and blind; 73 And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun" (pious - see V. 2:2 and the footnote of V. 3:164)." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest heaven, for that they endured patiently, and they shall receive therein a greeting and --' Peace!' 75 There they shall abide forever: a blessed dwelling and a blessed resting place. 76 Say (O Muhammad SAW to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever (inseparable permanent punishment)." 77
