The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said unto them: fear ye not? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 and drowned the rest. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
