Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
