The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So fear Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 Their account falls only upon my Lord, were you but aware. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
