WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 and then We will draw aside from each party those who were most rebellious against the Most Compassionate Lord, 69 Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein. 70 And every one of you will come within sight of it: this is, with thy Sustainer, a decree that must be fulfilled. 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Which of the two parties is best in abiding and best in assembly? 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the All-merciful prolong his term for him! Till, when they see that they were threatened, whether the chastisement, or the Hour, then they shall surely know who is worse in place, and who is weaker in hosts.' 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. 79 We shall inherit all that he boasts of, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have taken gods besides Allah, that they should be to them a source of strength; 81 By no means! anon they shall deny their worship, and become unto them an adversary. 82
