T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
