Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
