The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 you pay attention 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
