▼ 54 The Moon

The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
