The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must; 2 when the earth flattens out, 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. 6 he who is given his record in his right hand 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And will return to his family in joy! 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 Soon he will pray for death. 11 And will go into the blazing fire. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 Why not? His Lord was always watching him. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 or by the night in which things all come together to rest, 17 and the moon, as it grows to its fullness: 18 you shall surely ride stage after stage. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Nay, but the unbelievers are crying lies, 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 except for those who believe and do good deeds. Theirs shall be an unending reward. 25
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
