THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
