Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Verily! We have sent it (this Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) 1 How will you know what the Night of Determination is? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in hosts descend in it the angels, bearing divine inspiration by their Sustainer's leave; from all [evil] that may happen 4 Peace!... This until the rise of morn! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
