No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning for people -- 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
