The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
