Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
