Surely Ibrahim was an exemplar, obedient to Allah, upright, and he was not of the polytheists. 120 Grateful for His blessings; Allah chose him and guided him to the Straight Path. 121 And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. 122 Afterwards We revealed unto thee: follow thou the faith of Ibrahim the upright; and he was not of the associaters. 123 The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ. 124 Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation and reason with them in a way that is best. Your Lord knows best those who have strayed away from His path, and He knows best those who are rightly guided. 125 Hence, if you have to respond to an attack [in argument,] respond only to the extent of the attack levelled against you; but to bear yourselves with patience is indeed far better for [you, since God is with] those who are patient in adversity. 126 Be patient; yet your patience is only by the help of Allah. Do not grieve for them (the unbelievers), nor distress yourself because of their devising. 127 for God is with those who are righteous and those who do good. 128
