The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
