Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens- 46 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 49 Wherein are two fountains flowing. 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 57 lovely as rubies, beautiful as coral -- 58 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 59 What is the reward of virtue except virtue (in return)? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,- 62 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 65 In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water. 66 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 67 In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 therein maidens good and comely -- 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 Houris cloistered in pavilions -- 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 No man or jinn ever touched them before. 74 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 75 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious! 78
