Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
