Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
