Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
