The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
